The Parmer County Sheriff’s Office page directs users to an official Current Inmates interface. Review of that navigation and the actual portal on August 2, 2026 found no recent-releases selection, rolling three-day release view, or release-date field. The online system searches present names, charge descriptions, and admissions over a chosen number of days.
A public 72-hour list would need to identify custody endings during a defined interval. Parmer’s portal does not do that. Its three-day result expressly states, “For those admitted over the last 3 days.” The result therefore measures entries into custody, not departures from it.

It can show a person who entered Saturday and remained in custody Monday, while omitting someone released Sunday after an older admission.
The official current-inmate portal remains useful for its narrow purpose. Preserve the observation date because its update cadence, public retention, archive behavior, and delay after a custody change are not published. A negative result is a prompt to contact the jail, not proof of a release date.

Release Versus Transfer After Three Days
Parmer County Jail has a regional-custody wrinkle. County sources say Curry County inmates may be housed there, and August 25, 2025 commissioners minutes reported 23 housed people at one snapshot: 11 from Lamb County and 12 from Parmer County arrests. Those figures are not a release count, capacity, or average stay. They show why facility location and arresting jurisdiction cannot be treated as identical.
Someone leaving the Parmer building may return to another county, enter TDCJ custody, or move to another authority. The county’s commissary instructions separately address people who are “released” and people “transported to another facility,” reinforcing that the outcomes differ. If the release record says transfer, use the destination field to locate the receiving custodian.
